Being a COVID couple meant a lot of planning, replanning, rolling with the punches, and ultimately postponing. Through it all Cheryl and Dale were there for us. They offered advice, resources, and support.

Wedding on October 8th

We could not have picked a better spot for our October wedding! The ceremony site was stunning with the fall colors putting on their best show. The barn is gorgeous and was the perfect size. The bridal cottage was clean, cute and perfect for getting ready. Cheryl and Dale could NOT have been better to work with. They were truly amazing -- quick to respond, helpful, organized and just the nicest people. They helped make our wedding day so special. October weather is unpredictable and despite the two previous days being in the 70s, our wedding day was in the low 50s and by the reception it was in the low 40s to high 30s. It was definitely a chilly, but once everyone was in the barn, eating and moving around a little bit you couldn't feel the chill. Highly highly recommend.

Wedding on October 2nd

The venue itself…….it was everything we had hoped for and more. Only minutes from our house in Saco, it still had the barn aesthetic we wanted. The views coming up to the venue are breathtaking. The bridal cottage is such a nice addition we didn’t expect. It was such a great spot for the bridesmaids to get ready and prepped before the ceremony. Everything was clean and they even had a personalized gift waiting for us!

The staff……they were fantastic! From the setup of the ceremony to the coordinating with the staff, Cheryl and her staff went above and beyond. They made our day flawless and did it all behind the scenes without us knowing. They were so accommodating and friendly and were available for anything we needed. They gave us great ideas and options for our seating setup and our ceremony site. They even had a great fire pit outback that they tended all night for us!

If you are looking for a rustic yet updated wedding venue close to Portland, The Old Barn is the perfect spot.

I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about This Old Barn. I had my wedding ceremony and reception at the barn with 110 guests in attendance, and everything was absolutely perfect. Cheryl and Dale, the owners, have a remarkable way of making you feel like family, their attention to detail is spot on, and are extremely responsive to questions.

We had been planning our wedding for just under a year during the pandemic and although this was their first wedding season, you would've never known. My bridal party and I stayed the night before at the beautifully built bridal cottage, the hair and makeup team arrived and had plenty of space and lighting to set up in the air-conditioned cottage. The catering team and bartenders that we hired had plenty of space to set up and work, with a full bar and full-size refrigerator, sink for cleaning, and dedicated area for grilling and preparing.

Our DJ was set up on the main level on the dance floor ensuring our guests had adequate space for proper celebration. Every question or request we had on the wedding day was answered and met, which was great because that meant we could relax with peace of mind knowing the ceremony site and barn would be ready! The venue itself is so incredibly maintained with acres of green grass, gorgeous hills (makes for excellent photos!), newly built bathrooms, and a brand-new fire pit/patio area, which our guests loved. If you're looking for a well-maintained, rustic style red barn to host your wedding at, look no further than This Old Barn.

Highly recommend this venue - the barn and surrounding area is incredibly beautiful, and Cheryl and Dale made our day perfect! Cheryl and her team were extremely responsive and accommodating. I had a ton of questions and Cheryl was always so helpful and patient. We didn't have to worry about a thing on our special day as Cheryl and her team made sure everything was perfect. We loved using the model T truck during the ceremony and for photos. The bridal cottage is another awesome benefit and such a beautiful space to get ready in. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed and was very convenient to have available throughout the evening. If you're looking for a barn wedding this is the one!!
